When tragedy strikes, it is common to ask “WHY ME”?
“Why my family”?
I can honestly say, our family didn’t utter this statement once.
In fact we did say “WHY NOT ME”.
Having Hannah die in such horrific circumstances, we would never wish this agony on another. Even in the flames of grief, we were lucid enough to trust. To be grateful. To have faith.
That night, with a house full of people, we bowed our heads. I lead us in prayer. Thanking God for the 19years, 2 months and 27 days we are blessed to have Hannah earth side.
Some never know that love. The joy and beauty that Hannah gave us every single day. What an exceptional gift.
The reality is this. These tragedies happen daily. To beautiful people. Ordinary people. Us.
While we can’t change what happened to our beloved Hannah, we can choose in the way we respond.
We choose love; light, hope, forgiveness, gratitude, grace, sharing, strength, power, fortitude, focus and new beginnings.
My heartfelt gratitude to a merciful God who have never left my side. Not once. Also to the Manning community who has loved us and held us up throughout these past ten years. God bless everyone of you. 🦋🦋
